I always say that anything is possible. I have read that they have been able to boot windows from external drives, but it needs some changes...and I dont know if vista can do it, since what I read was for XP.

Andre, Confused a little; I think this laptop is 32bit;I think. So having the dvd burner and Sonic to burn iso's is a good thing;right????? Envy; Heck I got all this stuff listening to what you guys recommended; lucky is more like it. If I didn't happen to get a loan for school;this laptop wouldn;t be here. And I'de be talking about my old Dimension 8300. Yup;you guys were right on the money!!! even had the upgrade advisor say "ready for ULTIMATE"

Sorry about the confusion, the 32-bit 5381 build of Vista is 4.3 GBs, but the 64-bit build is 4.9 GBs, which cannot hold on regular DVD 5 disk. You need a dual layer disk and DVD for that kinda ISO. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
